The bible says at 1 john 5:19…..the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one?

How do you view this scripture? Do you think it is literally that Satan is ruling or do you see it as different? If you take it literally then surely God is allowing Satan to rule right now? Why do you think that is?

unsilenced lioness, I was not using half of the scripture for any other reason than the whole thing does not fit into the heading box! I dont know what on earth your answer has to do with my question.

Because God gave Lucifer the Kingdoms of the Earth to rule, and he is the Rightful Lord of the Earth. Otherwise he could not have offered Jesus Dominion over all the Kingdoms, during his 40 days in the Desert. Likewise, when he tempts Jesus to throw himself from the cliff, “that his Father send Angels to stop his fall”, Lucifer was demonstrating that the Heavenly Host had no Power on Earth, that was not sanctioned by him.
“Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s” is also an oblique reference to the fact that worldly goods are not part of that which is Gods domain. Of course, the fact that Satan rules this Earth, is not an
excuse to worship Him, just to acknowledge that He is the Master of this World, and to ignore this fact would be Dangerously stupid.

Don’t Bible Thumpers take the words out of context at Isaiah 8:19 AND 20, and 1 John 4:1-3 “Try the spirits”?

Both say IF the spirits don’t speak according to the Word, don’t accept them. Not be too chicken to hear what they say. I don’t go to mediums, but I do read channeling. Telepathic communication from other lifeforms in other dimensions we call the spirit world.

Deuteronomy 18:9-13
9 When you enter the land the LORD your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. 10 Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in [a] the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, 11 or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. 12 Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD, and because of these detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you. 13 You must be blameless before the LORD your God.

Leviticus 20:27
27 ” ‘A man or woman who is a medium or spiritist among you must be put to death. You are to stone them; their blood will be on their own heads.’ “
