Why do people think the world will end in 2012?

I know the Mayan calendar ends in 2012 and everyone is like AHHHH THE END OF THE WORLD !!!!!! but for a single calendar? I think noncense. I want to know what you think of 2012? and that the Bible says nothing about 2012 or the end of the world?

The propaganda is still selling. People are always shouting predictions about the end of the world. The world will end and a new, a better world begins. We will try to make our world better, and not be negative.
