U.S. Political Parties
Introduction
The United States is generally classified as a democracy representative. What's this?
In a literal sense target = "_blank"> democracy half of the government by the people. The word democracy came from two Greek roots-demos, which means "the people" or "ordinary" people, and Kratie, which means "master." Of course, in general, populous countries, the rule for all peoples is impossible nationally. It would be impossible for more than 246 million Americans to vote on all important issues that come before Congress. Therefore, democracies are generally maintained by a sharing arrangement known target = "_blank" Representative democracy, "in which some people are chosen to speak to the people.
The United States is generally classified as a representative democracy, as Americans elect members of Congress and state legislatures to the task of writing laws.
In contrast to monarchies, oligarchies and dictatorships, democratic form of government implies an opposition which is tolerated and even encouraged to exist. In the U.S., there are two main political parties-Democrats and Republicans, and several smaller parties. Sociologists use the political party to refer to an organization whose objectives are to promote candidates for elected office, advance an ideology as evidenced positions on political issues, win elections and exercise of power.
So in my report, I would tell the story of the donkey and the elephant in America. I also used to think that political parties are the United States, with the exception of Democrats and Republicans, but the error was changed because in the report.
The two main parts:
The Group of Democratic Party (DNC) today
After the 2002 elections, control of several key Democratic Governors (Including PA, MI, IL, Virginia, New Jersey, North Carolina, and WA) and many state legislatures – but he lost control of the House in U.S. 1994, narrowly lost the majority in the U.S. Senate again in 2002 (but still have enough seats to block legislation much more), and has lost control of the White House in the 2000 elections. While leading Democrats run the wide range of the left, almost Democratic Socialist (Barbara Lee, Dennis Kucinich and the Congressional Progressive Caucus) and traditional liberals (Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi and Ted Kennedy) in the center-right (Joe Lieberman, the Congressional Blue Dog Coalition and the New Democrat Network) on the right style Conservative Republican Party (Ralph Hall and Gene Taylor), most are in the Democratic Leadership Council pragmatic centrist moderate liberal style (Evan Bayh, Dick Gephardt, Tom Daschle).
Brief history of the Party democratic
In the early 21st century, the Democratic Party can boast a proud history – a history not only a political organization, but a national vision. It is a vision based on the strength and power of millions of economic activities, social and various U.S. policy. More than two hundred years, the founders democsatic Party decided that wealth and social status, not a right to rule. They believed that wisdom and compassion can be found within each and a stable government must be based on a broad popular base.
The late Ron Brown – former Chairman of the Democratic Party – said it best when he wrote: "The common thread of Democratic history, from Thomas Jefferson Bill Clinton has been an unwavering faith in the process of working families of America, and a commitment to helping the excluded, marginalized and the poor strengthen our nation by earning them a piece of the American Dream. Remember that this great nation was sculpted by immigrants and slaves, their children and grandchildren. "
Thomas Jefferson founded the Democratic Party in 1792 as a committee of Congress to fight for the Declaration rights and against the elitist Federalist Party. In 1798, the "common man" was officially named the Democratic-Republican, and 1800 elected Jefferson as the first Democratic president of the United States. Jefferson served two distinguished terms and was followed by James Madison in 1808. Madison Strengthening of the United States Army – to contribute forces to reaffirm American independence by defeating the British in the War 1812. James Monroe was elected president in 1816 and led the U.S. through a period known as "The Era of Good Feeling" in which Democratic-Republicans served with little opposition.
The election of John Quincy Adams in 1824 was very controversial and led to a four-way split between Democrats Republicans. A result of the division has been the emergence of Andrew Jackson As a national leader. The war hero, regarded – with Jefferson – one of the founding fathers of the Democratic Party, organized supporters to a degree without precedent in American history. The Jacksonian Democrats created the process of the National Convention, the party platform, and reunified the Democratic Party with Jackson's victories in 1828 and 1832. It held its first national convention in 1832 and appointed President Jackson for his second term. In 1844, the National Convention, provided that the name of the party with the Democratic Party.
In 1848, the National Convention established the Democratic National Committee now the oldest political organization in the world. The Convention charged the DNC with the responsibility of promoting "the Democratic cause" between the conventions and preparation of the next convention.
Since the late 19th century, the American electorate changed more and faster. Group Democrats embraced the immigrants who flooded into cities and industrial centers, built a political base to bring to mainstream America, and helped to create the most powerful economic engine in history. Democratic Party leader William Jennings Bryan led a movement of agrarian reformers and supported the right of women's suffrage, the progressive tax progressive income and the direct election of senators. While America entered the 20th century, became the dominant Democratic Party in local politics in urban areas.
In 1912, Woodrow Wilson became the first president Democratic 20th century. Wilson led the country through the First World War, led by the League of Nations, created the Federal Reserve Board, and passed the first labor and child protection laws.
A generation later, Franklin Roosevelt was elected president running on the promise of a "New Deal". Roosevelt took the United States of depression by looking beyond the Democratic base and energizing citizens around the belief that their government could actively assist them if needed. Roosevelt's New Deal brought water to California's Central Valley, electrified Appalachian and saved farms across the Midwest. The Civilian Conservation Corps, WPA and Social Security from all Americans in the system, freeing people fear, giving people a stake in the future, making the nation stronger.
With the election of Harry Truman, Democrats began the struggle to eliminate the last barriers of race and gender. Truman integrated the military and oversaw the rebuilding Europe in establishing the Marshall Plan and the North Atlantic Treaty North. Truman leadership paved the way for civil rights leaders followed.
In the years 1960, President John F. Kennedy challenged an optimistic nation to build on its great history. Kennedy proclaimed a New Frontier and dared Americans to put a man on the moon, created the Peace Corps, and negotiated a treaty banning atmospheric testing of nuclear weapons. Lyndon Johnson followed the example of Kennedy and worked to pass the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act. Kennedy and Johnson worked together to end the practice of segregation in many southern states. Following Kennedy's assassination, Johnson declared war on poverty and formed a series of programs of the Company Great, including the creation of Medicare – ensuring that older Americans receive quality health care.
In 1976, Jimmy Carter was elected president, helping to restore confidence in the nation to the government after the Watergate scandal. Among other things, Carter negotiated peace agreements historic Camp David Accords between Egypt and Israel.
In 1992, Arkansas Governor Bill Clinton was elected 42nd President United States. President Clinton was on the promise of a new Alliance neglect of U.S. working families. After twelve years of Republican presidents, America faced with record budget deficits, high unemployment and rising crime. the president's policy Clinton put the first and led to the longest period of economic expansion in peacetime history. The Deficit Reduction Act of 1993 – adopted by the House and Senate without a single Republican vote – put America on the path of fiscal responsibility and led to the end of fiscal deficits Perennial. Having inherited a deficit of $ 290000000000 in 1992, President Clinton's last budget was over $ 200 billion surplus. The Clinton / Gore Administration was responsible for reducing unemployment to its lowest level in decades and reducing crime in their lowest levels in a generation. In 1996, President Clinton became the first Democratic president reelected since Roosevelt in 1996. In 1998, Democrats to control the first part of the White House to gain seats in Congress during the sixth year of a presidential term since 1822.
In the 2000 elections, Democrats scored four more seats in the Senate, one additional seat in the House, and one additional seat for governor. Al Gore won the vice-president of the popular vote for president by more than 500,000 votes. In 2001, Democrats took control of the Senate in most Tom Daschle, while Democrats swept all the races in the country, including races for Virginia Governor and Lieutenant Governor, Governor of New Jersey, and 39 of the 42 most important races including Los Angeles Mayor and Houston.
Although we have achieved many things – as a nation and a party, we must go far into the 21st century. We must work to produce all Americans into the fabric of our nation. The history of our next hundred years may be seen in the beautiful mosaic of America, Nebraska cornfields barrios of New York, the mountains of Colorado to the rocky coast of Maine. The U.S. Party Democratic last best hope of overcoming divisions of class, race, region, religion, ethnicity and sexual orientation. We will succeed if we are governed by the same principles that made America the States the greatest nation on earth – the principles of strength, inclusion and opportunity. The Democratic Party is ready to take advantage of opportunities we have and meet the challenges we face.
Donkey democrat
When Andrew Jackson presidential candidate in 1828, his opponents tried to label an ass "for his populist views and his slogan, "The government of the people. "Jackson, however, reflected in his insults and turned to their advantage by using the donkey on his campaign posters. During his presidency, the donkey was used to represent Jackson's stubbornness when he vetoed again to the charter of the National Bank.
The first time the donkey was used in a political cartoon to represent the Democratic Party has again been in contact with Jackson. Although in 1837 Jackson was retired, he still regarded himself as party leader and trying to get the donkey to go where he wanted to go. The cartoon is entitled "A Modern Baals his ass."
Interestingly, the person credited to the donkey widely accepted as a symbol of Democratic Party probably had no prior knowledge of associations. Thomas Nast, a cartoonist famous policy, came to America with his parents in 1840 when he was six. The first time I used the donkey in a cartoon Harper's Weekly 1870 to represent the Copperhead "Press" Kicking a dead lion, symbolizing Lincoln's Secretary of War Edwin M. Stanton recently died. Nast used the donkey to represent an anti-war faction with whom he disagreed, but the symbol has attracted public attention and the cartoonist continued using to indicate some Democratic editors and newspapers.
Later, Nast used the donkey to represent what he calls "Caesarian" showing the alleged Democratic uneasiness about a possible third term for Ulysses S. Grant. On this issue, Nast helped associate the elephant with the Republican Party. Although the elephant had been connected Part Cartoon Republican who appeared in 1860 and 1872, it was Nast cartoon in 1874 published by Harper's Weekly that made the stick that elephant symbol of the Republicans. A cartoon titled "The Third Term Panic," showed animals representing various issues flee a donkey wearing a lion's skin tagged "stop." The elephant named "vote Republican" came to the inflation of a well of, chaos, repudiation, etc.
In 1880, the donkey was well established as a mascot for the Democratic Party. A cartoon the Garfield-Hancock campaign in New York Daily Graphic showed the Democratic candidate mounted on a donkey, walked in procession Crusaders.
Over the years, the donkey and the elephant have become the recognized symbols of the Democratic and Republican parties. While Democrats have never officially adopted the donkey as a symbol of the party, we have used various donkey designs on publications recent years. The Republicans have actually adopted the elephant as its official symbol and use their design high scale.
The Democrats think of the elephant as a clumsy, stupid, pompous and conservative – but the Republicans think is dignified, strong and intelligent. On the other hand, the Republicans regard the donkey stubborn, stupid and ridiculous – but the Democrats say he is humble, respectful, intelligent, courageous and lovable.
Adlai Stevenson always a symbol of the most beautiful descriptions of the Republicans, when he said: "The elephant has a thick skin, a head full of ivory, and as everyone saw a circus parade knows, the best produced by holding the tail of its predecessor. "
The Republican Party (RNC) today announced
Republicans control a slim majority in the House U.S., a number of key governors (including New York, TX, OH, GA, MA and FL), took over the White House in 2000, and briefly resumed most states in the U.S. Senate in 2002. Top Republicans fall into several different ideological factions: conservatives Traditional (President George W. Bush, Denny Hastert, Bill Frist and the Club for Growth), the religious right (Trent Lott, John Ashcroft, the National Federation Republican Assemblies and the Christian Coalition), the old Nixon / Rockefeller "centrist" or "moderate" wing (Colin Powell, George Pataki, a Republican Street Home Association, the Republican Leadership Council and the current Republican Committee), and libertarians (Ron Paul and the group of freedom Republican.)
Brief History of Republican Party
The Republican Party was born in the early 1850s by the anti-slavery activists and individuals who believed that government should grant western lands to settlers free of charge. The first group discussion was held Ripon, Wisconsin, a small town northwest of Milwaukee.
The first official Republican meeting took place July 6, 1854 in Jackson, Michigan. The name "Republican" was chosen because alluded to equality and reminded people of the Democratic-Republican Thomas Jefferson. Then Jackson Convention, the new party adopted a platform and nominated candidates for office in Michigan.
In 1856, the Republicans became a national party when John C. Fremont was appointed to the presidency under the slogan "Free soil, free labor, freedom of expression, free men, Fremont. "Even if they were considered a" third party "because the Democrats and Whigs represented the two system parties at the time, Fremont received 33% of the vote. Four years later, Abraham Lincoln became the first Republican to win the White House.
Civil war erupted in 1861 and lasted four exhausting years. During the war, against the advice of his cabinet, Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation freed the slaves. The Republicans of his time working to pass the Thirteenth Amendment, the prohibition of slavery, the Fourteenth, which guarantees equal protection under the law, and the Fifteenth, which helped secure voting rights for African Americans.
The GOP has also played a leading role to ensure women the right to vote. In 1896, the Republicans were the party most strongly in favor of female suffrage. When First Amendment 19 was finally added to the Constitution, 26 of the 36 state legislatures that had voted to ratify it were under Republican control. The first woman elected to Congress was a Republican, Jeanette Rankin of Montana in 1917.
Presidents during most of the nineteenth and early the twentieth century were Republicans. While Democrats and Franklin Roosevelt tended to dominate American politics in the 1930s and 40 in 28 forty years from 1952 to 1992, the White House in Republican hands – under Presidents Eisenhower, Nixon, Ford, Reagan and Bush. In the last two, Reagan and Bush, the U.S. became the only superpower, winning the Cold War in the former Soviet Union and releasing millions from oppression Communist.
Behind all the elected officials and candidates of any political party are thousands of workers and volunteers who raise money, licking envelopes and making phone calls that every winning campaign should have. The national structure of the party starts with the Republican National Committee. Each state has its own Republican State Committee with a Chairman and staff. The Republican structure goes up in the neighborhood, where a captain Republican area every day of the election organizes workers to vote Republican.
Most states ask voters when they register to express an party preference. Voters should not, but registration lists let the parties know exactly what voters want to be sure vote election day. The fact registered as Republican voters who do not need to vote that way – many voters share their notes, voting for candidates of both parties. But the national party is composed of all registered Republicans in all 50 states. For the most part are the primary voters and Republican presidential caucuses. They are the heart and soul of the party.
The Republicans have a long and rich history with the principles of Base: Individuals, not government, can make better decisions, all people are entitled to equal rights, and decisions are best made close to home.
The symbol of the Republican Party is the elephant. During the mid-term elections way back in 1874 Democrats tried to scare voters think that President Grant was a period of unprecedented third term. Thomas Nast, a cartoonist for Harper's Weekly, a Democrat donkey trying to scare a Republican elephant – and both symbols stuck.
Republicans are known long as the "GOP" And party faithful thought he meant the "Grand Old Party." But apparently the original meaning (in 1875) was "Gallant old party." And when automobiles were invented also went on to say, "get out and push." This remains a very good slogan for Republicans which depend on each year of the campaign on the hard work of hundreds of thousands volunteered to go and vote and push people to support GOP causes.
Origin of the Republican elephant
This symbol of the Republican Party was born in the imagination of cartoonist Thomas Nast and appeared in Harper's Weekly, November 7, 1874.
A problem Railsplitter 1860 and a cartoon from 1872 in Harper's Weekly connected elephants with Republicans, but it was Nast who provided the party with the symbol.
Interestingly, two unrelated events led to the birth of the Republican elephant. New York Herald, James Gordon Bennett launched the cry of "Caesar" about the possibility attempting to President Ulysses S. thirdterm Grant. The issue was discussed by Democratic leaders in 1874, halfway through the second Grant term and just before the midterm elections, and has contributed to upsetting Republican voters.
While magazines are represented with a grant from the Crown The Herald went into another outstanding works in an entirely different, nonpolitical area. This was the Central Park Zoo Scare of 1874, a hoax perpetrated the delicious Herald. He has published a story, totally untrue, that the animals at the zoo had broken loose and traveled the jungles of New York Central Park in search of prey.
Cartoonist Thomas Nast took the two examples of the Herald enterprise and put them together in a cartoon for Harper's Weekly. He showed an ass (symbolizing that the Herald) wearing a lion's skin (the prospect of fear Cassarism) scare the animals of the forest (Central Park). The title referred to a story well known
"An ass having put on the skin of a lion roaming the forest and amused himself by frightening all the animals crazy he met in his travels. "
One of the animals foolish in the cartoon was an elephant, representing the Republican vote – Not the party, the Republican vote – which was driven from its normal ties by the fear of false Caesarism. In a subsequent cartoon November 21, 1874, after the election that the Republicans did badly, Nast followed the idea See the elephant in a trap, illustrating how the Republican vote had been decoyed from its normal allegiance. Other cartoonists picked up the symbol and the elephant soon ceased to be the voice and became the party itself: the ass, now known as the donkey, made a natural transition from representing the Herald to representing the Democratic Party who was afraid of the elephant.

America First Party
The region of America First Party was founded in spring 2002 by a large group of deserters Buchanan Brigade erode downward part Reformers to form a new party, no social obligations of fair trade and conservative (with a solid foundation in the religious right movement). Points of view of the great ecological those adopted by the commentator Pat Buchanan during his three presidential candidates. AFP is dedicated to "protect our people and our sovereignty to promote growth … and economic independence … promote the traditional values of faith, family and responsibility … Ensuring equality before the law in the protection of the rights granted by the Creator … [Y] to clean up our corrupt political system. The reversal allies Perot in the control of the Reform Party National Convention in July 1999 seemed a movement to end the division. However, the restoration of control Perot forces in early 2000 and the subsequent acquisition of the subsidiaries party service for the Buchanan forces killed any movement by the people of the ARP to respond Reform. In contrast, ARP finally moved to the left and opted for the "support" (but not co-nomination) for the Green Party, Ralph Nader, presidential candidate in 2000 elections. Since then, the ARP has become almost invisible in the political arena – put into service only four state and local candidates nationwide in 2002 (more co-support a number of candidates from third). Ex 1988 LP presidential candidate Ron Paul Now a Republican congressman from Texas – even if Paul is active with the LP. The biggest problem LP: Ron Paul, former Governor Gary Johnson SL, PJ O'Rourke, the Republican Liberty Caucus and others in the Republican party trying to attract libertarian ideological in the political arena – arguing that libertarian can make changes more easily under the Republican label. Natural Law Party
With Libertarian Party, the NLP has been gaining votes in the past years (although it has lost ground in the 2000 elections). The NLP – under the slogan "bring the light of science in policy" and use colorful images – advocates holistic approaches, Transcendental Meditation (TM), "Yoga driving," and other peaceful purposes "New Era" and "scientific" remedies for many of our national and international problems. The nuclear physicist John Hagelin NLP was a candidate for the presidency in 1992 (on the ballot in 32 eyes – 39,000 votes – 0.04%), the status of voting in 1996 (in 44 States – 7th Place – 110,000 votes – 0.1%) and 2000 (Bulletin vote in 39 eyes – 7th place – 83,000 votes – 0.08%). Hagelin and NLP has also had a failed attempt to take control of the Reform Party in the context of Campaign 2000 – in collaboration with the Perot forces to thwart the efforts of Pat Buchanan – Although NLP has attracted some supporters of the dissident factions within the decay Reform. NLP has also made a short grasp for control of the Green Party, but that effort failed quickly. Ultimately, the Reform movement and Green 2000, Hagelin has captured a lot of headlines, but produces fewer results for the game of the 1996 season. In 2002, the NLP has tried a new strategy infiltration sly running NLP activists as candidates in the various labels and parties NLP, Democrats, Republicans, Greens and Libertarian. In 2004, the NLP supports actively presidential candidate Rep. Dennis Kucinich. Kucinich from the "New Era" and has Hageling views and close links with national leaders in Iowa NLP. New Party
The Left party advocates a "democratic revolution" to advance the cause of "social progress, economic and political" in the United States. Their agenda is much in the style of the Socialist Republic of Western Europe and the labor movement – and in some ways similar to the late 1990s, he formed the Labour Party (but the NP control over growth prospects in environmental issues). Instead of bringing their own national lists or candidates premises, the New Party has been widely endorsed candidates from other related parties (mainly pro-Union Congress of Democrats such as Danny Chicago K. Davis) and focuses on the basic organization. A fun question: if the new party has a duration of 50 years, will change the name of the Parte Vieja (or fifties "Part)? Group Again, to date, has approved nearly 400 candidates in local elections across the country, and has affiliated chapters active in some communities. The site details NP strategy game long term.
New Union Party
Founded in 1980 by defectors from the Socialist Labour Party, this DeLeonist militant democratic socialist party "supporters of the political and social revolution" but denounces violence and is "engaged in activities permitted to overthrow the capitalist economic system." The candidate sent his first in NUP 1980 – but has sent some candidates since then. The site presents the history of the party, an archive of previous articles and an online "Marxist Study course. "
Peace and Freedom Party
Founded in the 1960s as a left-wing party opposed to the Vietnam War, the party reached its peak of support in 1968 when nominated Black Panther Eldridge Cleaver leader for president. Despite convicted felon, Cleaver carried nearly 37,000 votes (ironically, Cleaver eventually became Republican Reagan in early 1980 – then a drug addict crack cocaine in the 1980s – to become an activist in the environment in the late 1990s). The famous "baby" Dr. Benjamin Spock – a staunch opponent the left and the Vietnam War – was the PFP presidential candidate in 1972. Since then, the small party has been largely dominated the fight against the factions of the Marxist-Leninist (aligned with the Workers' Party of the world), the Trotskyists and non-communist leftists. The PFP is low today with activities focused primarily in California. In 1996, the PFP failed to block an attempt by the WWP to capture the presidential nomination of PFP (and a poll in California) to designate the candidate of his party. In a sign of serious deterioration of party support, indicating poor the PFP in the 1998 elections throughout the state caused the party will lose its status as a vote in California. Similarly, they were unable to recover the official ballot by marking the successive attempts of the petition for 2000 and 2002 elections. However, the PFP has finally regained their status to vote in 2003 – and already in 2004 to nominate candidates for Congress and other offices.
Prohibition Party
"If you're a conservative reformer, not a drinker, the Prohibition Party needs you, "said an official message from the party in 2002. Group ban – Founded in 1869, billing themselves as "the oldest party in America III" – General Hardline advocates a Christian social agenda mixed the fight against drugs and international anti-communist views. The sample was the strongest party in 1892 when John Bidwell has received nearly 273,000 votes (2.3% – 4th place). Long-time party activist Earl F. Dodge has run as presidential candidate of the Prohibition Party in 1984, 1988, 1992, 1996, 2000, and again in 2004. Dodge has received only 208 votes in 2000 – the worst electoral showing part ever. The party also fields a limited number of candidates local time to time – but 2002 was the first time since the 1860s that the party failed to nominate candidates for any public office. An organization associated with additional parties is the ban supporter Historical Society, a group of party activists (something independent Order Dodge), who want to party policy prohibiting the law. people's struggle against the Dodge – led by the new national president Don Webb – seem having wrested control of the party in the fall of 2003 and have now been degraded to be just part Dodge "provisional" candidate presidency. It's mostly a matter of semantics, as Dodge will run as candidate of the party and the second step if it ensures the ballot in some states. If he does not win on the ballot, the who undertakes to hold a new convention nomination in the spring of 2004 to elect a new ticket. Howeverm all in the fight against could result in the presidential candidate on the ballot for the first time since 1872.
Reform
Once fast growing third populist Reform Party moved to the right in recent years – but then experienced massive waves of defections Conservative Party later in the Constitution and the new America the first time in 2002. First, a little history: after running as an independent in 1992, the Texas billionaire Ross Perot founded the business Reform Party in 1995, his vehicle to convert his movement into a political party independent learning. In 1996, Perot ran as the Reform Party presidential (8,085,000 votes – 8%). Despite an impressive demonstration of third, which was much less than the 19 million votes as an independent candidate Perot took in 1992. The party traditionally reflected center-Perot conservative fiscal policies and anti-GATT/NAFTA views – while avoiding any official position on social issues (although a large part of this group seems to have libertarian ideas in general, social). The RP has been hit by a period prolonged unpleasant ideological battles over the 1998-2000 period includes three main rival groups: the "old guard" faction Perot faction more Jesse Ventura liberal and social conservative Pat Buchanan faction. A fourth group – a small but vocal militant Marxist faction led by Lenora Fulani PO – General accompanied Perot faction in the fighting. To make this even more confusing, the Perot faction finally turned to the natural law and Maharishi follower candidate John Hagelin "Stop Buchanan" candidate for the presidency. After several unpleasant public battles, exit the Ventura faction RP in the spring of 2000, and Former Perot faction lost control of the party before the court that Buchanan faction in fall 2000 (and, ultimately, Perot backed by President Bush 2000). This has earned the Buchanan Brigade $ 12,600,000 in federal funds. A few months later, the Allies took control almost any organization Buchanan party. With the rise of Buchanan in the party, the party took a hard turn to the ideological right – an ideological realignment still dominates the RP. After 2000 elections, it is clear that Buchanan has failed in its attempt to establish a viable, third compound preservative (largely Disenchanted Republicans.) Buchanan was on the ballot in 49 states and captured 449,000 votes (fourth place – 0.4%) – and, later said his third foray into politics may have been a mistake. His shows also means that the low part is not eligible for federal funding 2004. The RP had new conflict the opportunity to become the third largest party social conservative (think it's a green part right) – Internal but impossible. In the spring of 2002, former Vice-President runningmate Ezola Foster Buchanan and California and the leaders of Maryland jumped RP Party Constitution. Almost simultaneously, all PO leaders in nearly 20 states (the heart of the people Buchanan Brigade) left en masse form the new America First Party – have a demoralizing and devastating blow to the future viability of the RP. The remaining parts of the PR now appear try to reorganize back to a more centrist party – similar to the original wanted Perot created in the 1990s. But – without the participation of Perot (and pockets) – even a new centrist RP reconstruction can cause serious problems. Another site is the official PR State Party organizations / SAPS.
Revolution
This party – simply called "The Revolution" – appears to be an ideological hybrid between libertarianism and ecology, with a touch of New Deal liberal views thrown in the mix. The platform 20-point calls legalization Revolution all victimless crimes (drugs, prostitution, etc.), use of clean energy to stop global warming, significant tax cuts, welfare occupational therapist end enterprise, reducing military expenditures, with emphasis on human rights in foreign policy decisions, the abolition of the CIA, the state of science funding to encourage "altruistic scientific and technological projects, and a promise to "repeal five times as many laws we have adopted.
