Is atheism rational? Part 1

Is atheism rational? The problems of meaning and purpose.

Introduction

Since time immemorial, mankind has been discussed, examined thoughtfully challenged, anxious and more thoughtful about issues of meaning and purpose.

Humanity found a number of options to address these issues:

The religions of the world, the Apocalypse – Judaism, Islam, Christianity, Mormonism, of philosophical doubts or uncertainty – and agnosticism atheism.

Judaism Islam, Mormonism and Christianity are different, and who claims to have been initiated by divine revelation, not by man.

To begin to see atheism, then other options and take away.

Atheism

An atheist is a person does not believe or deny the existence of God or gods. It is a philosophical option. It is a set beliefs. Many atheists believe that the scientific method and rational thought can not provide answers to the questions of existence and purpose. Many atheists believe in the theory of evolution and the Big Bang theory. [Emphasis added].

Alternatives:

• Hinduism

Most Hindus worship a deity or gods, believe in reincarnation, the value of meditation and observing the holiday celebrations such as Diwali and Holi.

To the Hindu, the purpose of life is to achieve freedom of reincarnation, but not guaranteed.

• Buddhism

The Buddhists believe in Buddha, attained enlightenment have thousands of incarnations.

They do not believe that this world is created and governed by a God or a god.

• Sikhism

• Islam

• Judaism

• Christianity

What about religion?

Religion is a belief and respect for a supernatural power or powers regarded as creator and governor of the universe.

Religion can also be a person or institutionalized system based on such belief and worship.

Religion, by definition, is the man in search of God, God or gods.

One could say that the reasons other religions should be applied to your own as proof of authenticity and truth. Religion is an example of the truth that man is naturally inclined to believe and worship. Even atheism is a belief, the belief that God does not exist.
