Niv Bible New International Version
Should I just stick with the KJV Bible? What do you think abou the NIV Bible?
I read the King James Bible (which I trust). I got a copy of the New International Version Bible. I ‘m reading the preface and it was translated by a whole bunch of people, denominations, scholars in 1966-1977. Why would I trust these people? A bunch of people who think they know how to translate the Bible. I’m not really one to put my trust in denominations.
Can I trust this translation? Can I trust the NIV Bible? Just stick with my good old King James Version?
You should try the all new RDV its better
Niv Bible New International Version

Protestant Christians is the New International Version of the bible a great one?
I know some would say the King James Version only but what do you think of the NIV?
The KJV is known to be inaccurate as better manuscripts have been found since it was translated. Why people like David idolise it beats me. The NIV is better but has been accused of having protestant bias in places.

Bible Xerxes Esther
Chris’ & J-ws: That documentary evidence, other people, there are over as regards:?
1) Esther was the wife of Ahasuerus (Xerxes) (Est 2:17), and Mordecai be your minister (or something) (Est 10:3)? Even the Book of Esther mentions a book by Annals on orders given by the Persian kings. Conversely, there is this record?
2) Daniel was one of the 3 most important governors of Babylon in his day (Dan. 2:48)?
3) Abraham was a Chaldean and spoke the language, where in the Bible, shows the origin of the Hebrew?
** PS: Could you quote sites with films and photos of places still existents, mentioned in the Bible. EX: The monument of Absalom − 2 Sam 18:18 −, and others, do they still exist?
Let me finish my compilation… these should get you started

Bible Xerxes Esther

In the movie “300″ would you compare King Leonidas to King David of Israel?
I would say they are both similar (since both were great warriors, both killed wild animals when they were young, and in the movie 300, King Leonidas killed a giant by chopping his head off) Also, in the movie 300, about King Xerxes, is he the same King Xerxes in the Bible mentioned in the Book of Esther? I would like to know that too, Thanks.
Did they both wear leathergayclub thongs and speak with a Scottish accent?
those two so wanted each other in that film.
david and Jonathan is a bit of a sexy read too, so that’s my answer, both badly disguised homoerotic tension.

Bible Job 1

Was anyone else in the Bible perfect besides Jesus and Job?
Job 1:1
Nina, are you saying that Job 1:1 is a lie?
Read Job 1:1
Why are people denying what it says in the bible?
Thank you becca.
Thank you oldguy.
Well, let’s look at this. The word perfect is not used in the Hebrew. The word Tam means whole hearted. It doesn’t mean without sin. The yshav means upright, but it doesn’t imply perfect. So if you have a translation that says perfect, that translation is incorrect. In fact, there is no word for perfect in Hebrew that I’m aware of.
For a prooftext, look at ecclesiasties 7:20.
20 For there is not a righteous man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.
In Judaism, there is no concept that a person can ever be perfect. In fact, we are cautioned against thinking a person must never consider themselves to be righteous and must at all time consider themselves evil.
As for the person the christians worship, I don’t follow that book.

E sword Bible Software
Which is the best Bible Software that you have used? and which is the most disappointing? Why?
I use and support e-sword (www.e-sword.com). It is free, developed by a real time pastor.
My most disappointing experience was with the Bible Works, a heavily priced one, despite large resources, I am sorry to say, it is hard to use and not intuitive.
Which is your favorite?
Hi there Taz : )
e-sword is one of my favorites….Each of the programs have something useful, e-sword I like to use when needing to see the original hebrew and greek strongs word definitions….Also Davar3 is good for that….
I also use a freeware known as “Evening Dew” — This I use for quick reference, and you can add other translations…
One of my favorites has been a simple program called.. God’s Word for Windows …But it is hard to find these days…. : )
I hope this helps some….there are alot of great tools out there, but by far the best Gift and resource is the Holy Spirit from above, the promise of the Father which leads US into ALL TRUTH ~ ! HalleluJah !

Why do some doctors deny circumcision on the 8th day that’s in the bible?
Medical science discovered on the eighth day that there is more Vitamin K and prothrombin present in the blood, which means less pain, less bleeding, and a better healing process. That is the safest day to circumcise a baby. Why do some of them deny that? Is it because the bible said it on Leviticus 12:3? Circumcision on the 8th day has been proven.
It certainly is not “some” doctors – it is “most” doctors that will not circumcise. The reason is simply that it is a cruel, dangerous and barbaric practice that should not be allowed.
The circumcision mentioned in the Bible is in the Old Testament and was for the Jews (who still practice this strange ritual). It is not for New Testament Christians. Interestingly, most other religions do not insist on circumcision either. Even among the Muslims, circumcision is only practiced among the fundamentalist sects that also preach terrorism.
What you need to know about circumcision is that is it a terrible mutilation of the human body. No civilised person could ever allow this to happen to themselves or to someone they claim to love. Circumcision is the removal of the (male) foreskin. Uncut or uncircumcised refer to the natural state of the penis where the whole of the sexual organs are intact. About 90% of the males on Earth are not circumcised, but it is still practiced as a routine in Israel and in the USA.
Circumcision of a boy is as painful as circumcision of a girl – that means cutting of the clitoris and labia of a girl! I cannot imagine why anyone would want to inflict significant injury and permanent damage on a child or any other human. It is as good to be circumcised as it is to cut off your eyelid so your eye no longer has the protection and lubrication it was designed to have. A male was born with a foreskin for a reason, and it was not so it could be cut off!
Circumcised penises are no cleaner than a natural one – any one who says so obviously has no idea what they are talking about. It is said “World Health Organization and the Center [American spelling] of Disease Control want all males circumcised”, but that is not true. The benefits of a foreskin far outweigh the benefits of circumcision. Only a fool would want to inflict such terrible carnage on another human. WHO and CDC do support circumcision, but only because American doctors and pharmaceutical companies make huge dollars out of the cruel process. They are willing to sacrifice human health and wellbeing on the altar of monetary greed.
Circumcision of the penis does not prevent cancers, HIV, spread of AIDS or any of the myriad of other things that seem to be attributed to it. Circumcision of the male is just as barbaric and cruel as circumcision of the female. Most people would not even consider inflicting such damage on a girl, yet some still consider it an acceptable practice to perform on a boy.
Contrary to what some others may say, almost 90% of the world male population is natural and is not circumcised.

2) And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3) And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

4) How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?
5) Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the Sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath, and are blameless?
6) But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.
7) But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.
For the Son of man is Lord even of the Sabbath day.
9) And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue:
10) And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him.

The Noble Quran:
Chapter 12 in the Noble Quran is composed of 111 verses.
Verses from 1-10 are talking about the Quran teach us the wisdom. Then the Quran mentions the story of the Prophet Joseph and his dream that caused a problem to him and how his brothers tried to kill him or get rid of him.

[1] Alif Lam Ra. These are the Symbols (or Verses) of the Perspicuous Book.
[2] We have sent it down as an Arabic Quran, in order that ye may learn wisdom.
[3] We do relate unto thee the most beautiful of stories, in that We reveal to thee this (portion of the) Quran: before this, thou too was among those who knew it not.
[4] Behold, Joseph said to his father: “O my father! I did see eleven stars and the sun and the moon: I saw them prostrate themselves to me!”
[5] Said (the father): “My (dear) little son! relate not thy vision to thy brothers, lest they concoct a plot against thee: for Satan is to man an avowed enemy!
[6] “Thus will thy Lord choose thee and teach thee the interpretation of stories (and events) and perfect His favor to thee and to the posterity of Jacob, even as He perfected it to thy fathers Ibrahim and Isaac aforetime! for thy Lord is full of knowledge and wisdom.”
[7] Verily in Joseph and his brethren are Signs (or Symbols) for Seekers (after Truth).
[8] They said: “Truly Joseph and his brother are loved more by our father than we: but we are a goodly body! Really our father is obviously wandering (in his mind)!
[9] “Slay ye Joseph or cast him out to some (unknown) land, that so the favor of your father may be given to you alone: (there will be time enough) for you to be righteous after that!”
[10] Said one of them: “Slay not Joseph, but if ye must do something, throw him down to the bottom of the well: he will be picked up by some caravan of travelers.”

What does “Mystery Babylon” mean in the Book of Revelation?
When the evangelist John was exiled by Nero to the Greek island of Patmos, he experienced a series of visions about events that would happen at some distant time in the future. These events would be a prelude to the return of the Christ and the dawn of a new golden age upon the earth.
In the last book of the Bible St. John recorded how an angel appeared before him in a vision and showed him the judgment that would be visited upon “the great whore that sitteth upon many waters“. This “whore” was described by the angel as a woman arrayed in purple clothing and adorned with precious jewels, and upon whose forehead were written the words “Mystery, Babylon the Great“. (Revelation:Chapter 17)
The symbolic language used by John not only confounded the readers of his time. It has continued to confuse readers to this day. Over the centuries various factions within the church have interpreted them in different ways, and Biblical scholars continue to debate the significance of the symbolism. Yet very few seem to have grasped the obvious meaning of these words.
Mainstream Christianity today believes that the mystery woman Babylon refers to the rise of a future one-world religion that will be founded by, and presided over, by a future Anti-Christ who is predicted to appear on the world stage during the “last days” spoken of by St. John.
In 1970 a book was written about these prophecies which became an immediate best-seller. This book was co-authored by Hal Lindsey and Carla Carlson, and was entitled The Late Great Planet Earth. Under the chapter entitled “Revival of Mystery Babylon”, Lindsey and Carlson described the new religion that they believed would one day come to dominate the world.
“We believe that the joining of churches in the present ecumenical movement, combined with this amazing rejuvenation of star-worship, mind-expansion, and witchcraft, is preparing the world in every way for the establishment of a great religious system”. It seemed clear to the authors that the new world religion prophesied by St. John would be Satanic in nature, and would involve the use of occult practices and drugs.
While mainstream believers continue to look for Satanic influences in such things as witchcraft, magic and astrology, most Christians seem oblivious to the fact that a one-world religion that exactly matches that prophesied by St. John, has grown up under their very gaze.
This new religion now encompasses every country on the globe. It attracts converts from every major faith, and appeals equally to every culture, creed and race. No man or woman alive on earth today is free from its spell. This new religion not only attracts Kings, Presidents and rulers, it also lures the poor, the weak and the needy.
This religion is called “Babylon”. Babylon is not just the name of a place. It is a symbol of everything for which the original city of Babylon was once famous. At the height of its glory Babylon was the envy of the world. It was a place of great luxury and wealth. Its hanging gardens were among the wonders of the ancient world.
The religion symbolized by the woman called “Babylon” is the religion of materialism. It is the desire for material wealth ahead of all other values in life. Babylon is a very old religion. It has seduced people since the earliest days of civilization. It is now the dominant religion on the earth. All nations have fallen prey to its seductive lure.
All of humanity is governed today by an economic system that is based on money. All human enterprise is based on a system that is required to generate money in order to survive. Yet as we have discovered in the last few years, our economic system has become corrupted to the point where the lust for money on the part of the few, has placed the livelihood of hundreds of millions of people around the world in jeopardy.
Not only is this desire for material wealth now the major economic motivator around the planet, but it has assumed the character of a religion. This world-wide religion of materialism has captured the minds and hearts of humanity just as much as if it were a traditional faith.
There is little doubt that our modern economic system comprising commerce, finance, investment and trade now fits the description of the one-world religion described by St. John. For in describing the influence of this mystery woman Babylon he wrote:
“For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.” (Revelation 18:1-3)
The references above to “the kings of the earth”, “merchants of the earth” and “waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies” should make it obvious that St. John is not writing about a religious movement led by some future Anti-Christ. Instead he is referring here to a mercantile system that has grown to world-wide proportions, but has become totally corrupted by materialistic pursuits and is devoid of spiritual qualities.
Not only has our modern economic system been subverted from within by greed and the lust for wealth, but it has also been exploited from without by powerful interests whose main purpose has been to entrench themselves in positions of power, and at the same time insulate themselves from accountability and justice.
This system has now become so convoluted and complex that no single nation or institution has the power to reform it. And as has happened in the past, when the institutions of humanity become corrupted from within, they become ripe for destruction.
The destruction predicted by St. John will be terrible indeed. For just as our economic system has tentacles that reach out to the farthest corners of the globe, so the destruction that will be inflicted upon ”Babylon” will also be universal in scope. The devastation will be unimaginable and it will leave merchants everywhere stupefied with terror.
According to the angel, this mystery woman would be utterly destroyed in the great and terrible day of the Lord, because it had become ”the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird“. (Revelation 18:2) St. John goes on to describe the reactions of merchants around the world to the sudden destruction of everything that they had labored so long and so hard to achieve:
“And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning. Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour is thy judgment come. And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more.”
“The merchants of these things, which were made rich by these things, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing, and saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!”
“For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every ship-master, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many trade by sea, stood afar off, and cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, what city is like unto this great city! And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! For in one hour is she made desolate” (Revelation 18:9-19)
The lamentations so vividly described by St. John clearly refer to a global disaster that not only devastates the land, but affects the oceans as well, leading to an immense loss of cargo and shipping. This sudden world-wide calamity would come at a time when the merchants of the world believed they were secure. Yet if the revelation of St. John is correct, then our world-wide economic system will be destroyed in a single day.
“How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her”. (Revelation 18:7-8)
The angel revealed to John that in the “last days” this mystery woman called Babylon would be utterly destroyed. She would be destroyed because she had perverted humanity and become the mother of all abominations. According to the revelation of St. John, our global system of international finance and trade will be destroyed by a giant asteroid that will strike the earth and plunge into the sea.
“And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all”. (Revelation 18:21)
The Old Testament prophet Malachi refers to this day as “the great and dreadful day of the Lord“. (Malachi 4:5) He goes on to say: “For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch”. (Malachi 4:1)
Jesus himself said that this would be a time unlike any in the long history of the earth: “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be”. (Matthew 24:21) Another Old Testament prophet named Zephaniah described this day of disaster in the following words:
“The great day of the Lord is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the Lord: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, a day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers.
“And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the Lord: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung. Neither shall their silver nor their gold be able to deliver them in the day of the Lord’s wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.” (Zephaniah 1:14-18)
And in the words of the prophet Joel: “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the Lord come”. (Joel 2:30-31)
If a flaming asteroid should sear through the atmosphere of the earth and then plunge into the ocean, it would create destruction on a scale that would be greater than almost anything we could imagine, depending on the size of the asteroid. In chapter 8 of his Book of Revelation John describes the asteroid as a ”great mountain” (verse 8). By an interesting coincidence Nostradamus used these same words in a quatrain he wrote about a future asteroid that would strike the earth:
“The great mountain, seven stadia round, after peace, war, famine, inundation. It will spread far, drowning great countries, even those of great age and mighty foundations”. (Century I: Verse 69)
Nostradamus gives the size of this “great mountain” as “seven stadia round”. The “stadium” was a unit of measurement used by the Greeks and Romans. One “stadium” was equal to 625 feet. So using this system of measurement ”seven stadia round” would make this asteroid nearly a mile wide. An asteroid of this size traveling at a speed of many hundreds of thousands of miles an hour would cause global devastation.
The impact of this collision would not only vaporize the asteroid itself, it would also penetrate the ocean floor causing huge amounts of superheated water, melted rock and other matter to rise high into the upper atmosphere, where they would then fall back down to earth in the form of blazing missiles that would set fire to buildings, forests and crops around the entire planet.
Volcanoes would suddenly roar back to life, spewing vast clouds of debris into the atmosphere, adding to the hellish conditions. Forest fires would also create enormous noxious fumes that would stain the sky and cause the moon to appear “blood-red” in color.
In addition to setting off a series of gigantic earthquakes around the world, the impact of this asteroid would also cause a rupture of undersea fault lines that would generate colossal tidal waves that would travel around the world many times, causing immense destruction to coastal cities everywhere. The death toll caused by this disaster would be beyond count, as would the damage to cities, ships and cargo.
As John predicted, it would cause “a third part of the creatures in the sea” to die, as well as “a third part of the ships” to be destroyed. (Revelation 8:9) And because there would be no refuge above the ground from the fiery missiles raining down from the skies, men and women everywhere would try to hide underneath rocks, or seek safety underground.
“And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; and said to the mountains and rocks, fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: for the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?”. (Revelation 6:15-17)

What is your opinion about Double Jeopardy?
It has been bothering me for quite some time. How is it possible that a person who is guilty of say murder, and have been acquited then at a later stage be found guilty but cannot be tried again. The Bible is very clear on this in that it say “The wages of Sin is Death” So, the Lord will forgive the sinner, He loves the sinner but hates the sin. For what happened with the consequance? If this person is then free what happened with his concious and where does he then pay for his wrong? I want to know WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CONSEQUANCE AND DO YOU THINK THAT THE LORD WILL FOGIVE SUCH A PERSON IF THERE IS STILL PUNISHMENT OUTSTANDING.ACCIRDUBG TO THE ABOVE SCRIPTURE THERE IS NO FORGIVENESS FOR SUCH A PERSON UNLESS HE GOES BACK AND ACKNOWLEDGE THAT HE IS GUILTY AND SEEK PUNISHMENT, THEN THE LORD CAN FORGIVE HIM FOR HE HAS THEN BEEN PUNISHED HERE ON EARTH AND THERE WILL BE NO MORE PUNISHMENT (HELL) FOR SUCH A PERSON. PLEASE HELP FOR I NEED TO KNOW THE FACTS AND NOT MERELY OPINIONS.
The law of man and the law of God are not the same.
The penalty on the law of man on civil law, criminal law or any law of man imposed by the govbernment is not the same punishment given by God to the sinners against God.
On the law of man Double Jeopardy means – you can no longer be tried on the offense where you have been declared guilty for the same offense which was committed by you in the same place and in the same time, from the same person and the same offense.
In God punishing the sinner, it is not the same as in the law of man.

Christians, What would be the meaning of me covering my head?
FYI: For the last couple of days I have heavily felt the need to wear a shawl over my head. All day long, not just when praying but all day. I feel my spirit urging me to do this. This has not been the first time it happens to me about once a year and it lasts for about a week. I have searched the scriptures for meaning, but the only one I can find is the reference in Corinthians (and I feel no revelation from that verse)
Have any of you had similar experiences?
Does any one have revelation from the Holy Spirit as to what this means?
any bible verses are testimonies are much appreciated
Thanks
***I do respect ALL beliefs even the ones that don’t agree with my own, but this question is targeted toward a specific group, Christians, I would appreciate if only Christians would respond, thank you***
Its raining outside… The sun is beating down on you… You live in a cold windy place….?… Covering your head has nothing to do with religion… you must be cold… religions are gangs… sadness/depression is normal… find something to cheer you up…

What The Bible Says About Adultery
These are hard times we live in. At least that much is true. Give it time and think about it, we live in an era when the world is constantly changing what was set down by God way back in the beginning of time. Standards, moral and etiquettes have changed since the time of Adam and Eve and Moses. People have become more liberated than they were before, during the time of pharaohs and kings. We now live in a very different world, to put things simply.
One time God commanded Moses to climb up the mountain and claim His Ten Commandments and to spread it to the people. Moses did as he was instructed, so that the people may live their lives according to the wishes of God, in the service of the Lord. One of the commandments went something like this: “Thou shall not commit adultery.” This made it very clear how God stands on the subject of adultery.
The inspiring Bible verses tell us this: God sees adultery as a sin against Him. He wants us to steer clear away from it, to avoid its temptations. But at the same time contemporary society is telling us a very different story. With what’s being shown on the media these days– what they air on the radio, what they show on TV and in the movies—a lot of these things do not sit well with God’s commandment, as well as what the Bible verse search are telling us about adultery.
So the question stands: who do you listen to? God’s commandment from the beginning of time? Or the modern world? Which side are you on?
Here are some Bible verses about adultery:
“He said to them, ‘Whoever divorces his wife, and marries another, commits adultery against her. If a woman herself divorces her husband, and marries another, she commits adultery.’”(Mark 10:11-12)
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery’ but I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart” (Matthew 5:27-28)
The Scriptures speak about adultery in its many different forms. Thinking lustful thoughts a woman is adultery in itself. Another form of adultery.
The Scriptures also says this about adultery: our bodies belong to the Lord, and we should not shame it through adultery. The commandment stands true – we should not commit adultery. To do this is to shame God and His name.
About the Author
Can you give me a Bible verse where baptism was done in the name of the Father, Son & Holy Ghost?
What about baptism( full immersion) in the name of LordJesus? These scriptures show how the early church baptized in name of Lord Jesus: Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:38, Acts 19:5; Acts 10:48. Stop surfing the net search the scriptures, in it you’ll find life!
Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit he can not enter into the kingdom of God (John 3:5).
Historically post apostolic times the baptismal formula has always been in the name of the Father, Son & Holy Spirit — that is why the early Church baptized infants, adults, children thrice in water — this has been the constant & broad witness of the early Church. In fact all the early creeds & baptismal rites affirm the Father, Son & Holy Spirit. In fact, there are Sarcophagus & Tombs of early Christians with enscriptions that affirm the Father,Son & Holy Spirit as the baptismal formula.
Or if you prefer our Lords words in the NT:
“baptizing them in the name of Jesus only” check that Our
Lord actually said:
“baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” Matt 28:19
Acts 2:38, Acts 19:5 & Acts 10:48 are NOT formulas. You now why? They say different things:
Acts 2:38
” Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
Acts 10:48:
“And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.”
Acts 19:5:
“When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.”
All three citations refer to our Lord three different ways; hence these passages are NOT baptismal formulas but a reference of the new baptism instituted by Christ!
